Given the design, luxury furnishing and types of exclusive experiences available at Cowrie Retreat, it is an adult-only accommodation.

Cowrie Retreat is situated on the primary dune and has no fencing. Pets are strictly prohibited for their own safety and the safety of native wildlife.

It takes 1 hour and 20 minutes to drive from Adelaide CBD.

In Normanville and Yankalilla. Most guests pass through Yankalilla, and we recommend stopping at Drakes for groceries and Yankalilla Bakers for bread and treats. There is a Romeo’s Foodland in Normanville.

Yes, you can, and in fact, most of our guests do self-cater. The well-equipped kitchen provides everything needed for self-catering, and the pantry is well-stocked. Alternatively, you can order platters and pre-prepared meals or have a dinner party catered at the retreat by our preferred caterers listed under Dining and Wineries.

Normanville is 5 minutes away with numerous restaurants; our favourites are One Little Sister, Aqua Café (Beachside) and Fork Tree Brewing (Carrickalinga) 

Cowrie Retreat is an award-winning house professionally designed by Troppo Architects and beautifully appointed to accommodate up to 8 guests. Camping on the property is prohibited, as are motor homes and caravans.
